Kindergarten-First Grade: Each week your child enters the computer room, they spend the beginning of the period in circle discussion talking about a topic dealing with computers/ technology, and then the remainder of the class period is spent working on an activity or in different computer centers with technology games that enhance their classroom curriculum.
Example software that I utilize in the computer lab: Pixie 2, Pixie 3, Kidspiration, Jumpstart Kindergarten, Jumpstart First Grade, Type to Learn Jr., Clifford's Thinking Adventure, Jumpstart Explorers, Math Zoo Zillions, A to Zap!, Numbers Undercover, Numbers Recovered, Memory Fun, Knock! Knock!, Jumpstart Animal Adventures, and many more!
Example internet resources I utilize in the computer lab: Starfall, ABC YA!, Learning Arcade, Peep and the Big Wide World, Crayola Color, Big Brown Bear Keyboarding, Keyboard Climber, Keyseeker, Gamegoo, The Mouse Club, Mighty Books, BBC C Beebies, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, Thomas the Train, Sesame Street, Bembos Zoo, Alphabet Goop, Animal Here or There?, Animal Where?, Animal Who?, Doodle Dot Don, Lego, PBS Kids, and many more!
